RoDTEP Claim, Issuance & Sale Services (on Your Direct Exports)

01 / Additional Services

The Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products (RoDTEP) scheme refunds embedded central, state, and local duties not otherwise rebated through GST or customs drawback. We manage the complete lifecycle of your RoDTEP entitlement โ€” from claim filing at the time of Shipping Bill, through scrip issuance, to facilitating sale of unused scrips on the open market.

RoDTEP scrips are auto-generated as duty credit once your Shipping Bill is processed and EGM is filed, but many exporters either under-claim due to incorrect rate application or fail to monetise unused scrips effectively.

๐Ÿ’ก RoDTEP rates vary by product HS code and are revised periodically โ€” we verify the correct applicable rate for your product before each claim to ensure you receive the full entitled benefit, not a default or outdated rate.

ICEGATE Customs Registration & AD Code Registration

02 / Additional Services

ICEGATE registration is the gateway through which Shipping Bills, Bills of Entry, and duty payments are filed electronically with Indian Customs. Without an active ICEGATE login linked to your IEC, your CHA cannot file documents on your behalf, and self-filing is not possible.

Separately, an AD (Authorised Dealer) Code registration with your bank must be mapped against each port through which you intend to ship โ€” this links your export proceeds to the correct bank account for FIRC and BRC purposes. Missing AD Code registration at a new port is a common reason first shipments through that port get held up.

๐Ÿ’ก If you plan to export through a new port for the first time, register your AD Code at that port well in advance โ€” last-minute registration is one of the most frequent causes of shipment delays we see.

Custom House Agent References & Export Promotion Council Registrations

03 / Additional Services

A reliable Custom House Agent (CHA) is essential for smooth Shipping Bill and Bill of Entry filing at your port of operation. We maintain a network of vetted CHA partners across major Indian ports and connect exporters with the right agent based on their product category, port, and shipment volume.

Alongside this, we coordinate registration with the relevant Export Promotion Council for your sector โ€” ensuring you hold the RCMC needed to access scheme benefits, council-led buyer connections, and trade fair participation support โ€” delivering a complete, A-Z trade compliance solution rather than a single isolated service.

๐Ÿ’ก Choosing the wrong CHA for your product category and port combination is a common source of recurring shipment delays โ€” we match exporters with agents who already specialise in their specific cargo type.

New & Renewal of Digital Signature Certificates (DSC)

04 / Additional Services

A valid Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) is required across nearly every government trade and compliance portal in India. We handle fresh issuance and renewal of all classes of DSC needed for your specific filing requirements, ensuring you're never blocked from a submission deadline due to an expired certificate.

Income Tax
DSC for IT Filing

Required for digitally signing income tax returns and related statutory filings.

GST
DSC for GST Portal

Used for filing GST returns, LUT applications, and other GSTN portal submissions.

Customs
DSC for ICEGATE

Mandatory for filing Shipping Bills, Bills of Entry, and other customs documents electronically.

DGFT
DSC for DGFT Portal

Required for IEC applications, licence filings, and all DGFT scheme submissions.

Tenders
DSC for e-Tendering

Needed to participate in government and PSU tender portals requiring digital authentication.

General
Class 3 Organisation DSC

The standard high-assurance certificate class used across most regulatory and trade portals.

๐Ÿ’ก DSCs typically expire after one or two years โ€” we recommend setting a renewal reminder well ahead of expiry, since an expired certificate can block urgent filings like RCMC renewal or licence applications at the worst possible time.

AEO Certification โ€” Level 1

05 / Additional Services

The Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) programme is a trade facilitation certification administered by Indian Customs, recognising businesses with a strong compliance track record and secure supply chain practices. AEO Level 1 (T1) certification offers tangible operational benefits including reduced bank guarantee requirements, faster customs clearance, and fewer physical examinations.

We assist with the complete AEO Level 1 application process โ€” from initial eligibility self-assessment through document compilation, application submission, and coordination during the Customs verification visit.

๐Ÿ’ก AEO certification is increasingly viewed favourably by international buyers and partners as a mark of supply chain reliability โ€” beyond the direct customs benefits, it can also strengthen your standing in buyer due-diligence processes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I sell my RoDTEP scrips if I don't have any import duty to offset?
Yes. RoDTEP scrips are transferable, and many exporters who don't import goods themselves choose to sell their accumulated scrips on the open market. We help connect sellers with verified buyers to ensure a smooth transaction.
Do I need a new AD Code for every port I ship from?
Yes. Your AD Code must be specifically registered at each port through which you intend to file Shipping Bills. Shipping through a new port without prior AD Code registration there will hold up your first shipment until it's completed.
Which class of Digital Signature Certificate do I need for DGFT and ICEGATE?
Both portals generally require a Class 3 Organisation-type DSC, issued in the name of the authorised signatory of your business. The same certificate can often be used across DGFT, ICEGATE, and GST portals if registered correctly on each.
How long does AEO Level 1 certification typically take?
Timelines vary based on the completeness of your application and the Customs verification schedule, but a well-prepared application with all supporting documents in order significantly reduces back-and-forth queries and processing time.
Can your team recommend a CHA, or do I need to find one myself?
We maintain a network of vetted Custom House Agents across major ports and can introduce you to one suited to your product category and shipment volume, as part of our complete A-Z compliance support.
